FASCISTS ATTACKED LANCASHIRE DISTURBANCE STONES THROWN AT WINDOWS SEQUEL TO WOMAN'S DEATH By Telegraph—Prese Association—Copyright (Received June 19, 5.23 p.m.) LONDON, June 19 The death of a woman at an openair meeting of Black 'Shirts (Fascists) at Bo9tle, Lancashire, resulted in extraordinary scenes. An angry crowd followed a van containing the speakers to the Fascists' headquarters, where they broke every window with stones and remained shouting imprecations until the police arrived in motor-cars. The woman, Mrs. Evans, had gone to the meeting, which was held near her home, in order to find four of her seven children. The meeting was lively and there was some disturbance at question time. / ■ Mrs. Evans'was found on the ground at the close of the proceedings. The crowd immediately rushed the Fascists' van. The woman's husband, realising that his wife was dying, sent for a priest. When Mrs. Evans died her body was taken to. a hospital where it was stated that no marks violence were found. It is understood that death was due to natural causes.
