m dkicipal ß Public notice is hereby given that the Auckland City Council, in pursuance of its poweis under Section 79 of " The Municipal Corporations Act. 1933," Section 52 of " The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act. 1926," Section 54 of " The Hating; Act, 1925," Sectic r 56 oi " The Auckland and Suburban Drainage Act. 1908," and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, intends on THURSDAY, the 27th day of June, 1935, to make and levy the following: Rates in respect of the City of Auckland for the year commencing on the Ist day of June. 1935, and ending on the Hist day of May. 1936: 1. A General Rate of One Shilling and Threepence Half-penny (Is 3id) in the £. 2. A Library Rate of One Penny (Id) in the £, 8. A Hospital and Charitable Aid Rato of Fivepence (sd) in the £. 4. A Drainage Rate cf Twopence Three Farthings (2Jd) in the £, 5. IN RESPEC'I OF THE ORDINARY SUPPLY OF WATER WITHIN THE MEANING OF THE WATERWORKS BY-LAWS OF THE CITY OF AUCKLAND:Upon all Lands and Dwellinghouees to which water is supplied whose Annual Rateable Value, us appearing on the Valuation Roll: (a) Doe* not exceed Twelve Pounds Ten Shillings, i Rate of Ten Shillings (10s. (b) Exceeds Twelve Pounds Ten Shillings but does not exceed Thirty Poundo, a Rate of Five and Five-eighths pei centum (5J per cent) on such value: (t) ExceHs Thirty Pounds, a Rale of Five and Five-eighths per centum (52 per cent) on Thirty Pounds, and Two and One-half per centum (24 per cent.) on so much ot such value as exceeds Thirty Pounds. Upon all Buildings used for any purpose other than Dwellinghouses whose Annual Rateable Value, as appearing on the Valuation Roll: (a) Does not exceed Twelve Pounds Ten Shillings, a Rate of Five Shillings (ss). (b) Exceeds Twelv« Pounds Ten Shillings, a Rate of Two per centum (2 per cent) on such value.
