VAGRANCY ADMITTED

A charge of being an idle and disorderly person, with insufficient means of support, was admitted in the Police Court yesterday by John Ingram, aged 45, described as a painter and paperhanger. Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., presided. Sub-Inspector Fox said that accused was arrested at St. Helicrs Bay ' on Monday, following complaints by shopkeepers that he was making a nuisance of himself by begging. He had been drinking methylated spirits, but the Salvation Army had offered to look after him until he obtained work. Accused was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within six months.
