GOLDEN WEDDING
MR. AND MRS. S. TOOMAN Mr. and Mrs. S. Tooman celebrate their golden wedding to-day. Both came to New Zealand as small children, Mr. Tooman from Afrida and Mrs. Tooman from Australia, and have lived here ever since. They are both well known in the licensing trade, having been connected with this business practically all their lives. Mr. Tooman is also a well-known figure in racing circles and at one time owned horses. Latterly he had great success as the trainer of the celebrated Beau Cavalier. Mr. and Mrs. Tooman retired about two years ago and are now living with a son, Mr. T. Tooman, of Mount Albert. Their family comprised four sons and one daughter, but only two are now living. The daughter, Mrs. ■J. Wickman also celebrates her silver wedding anniversary to-dav thus coinciding with her parents' r;oUbn wedebng anniversary.
