ONEHUNGA BODY'S YEAR The report presented at the annual meeting of the Oneliunga Sports Federation stated that during the year an agreement had been reached with the Oneliunga Borough Council whereby the latter had undertaken to cease letting the Waikaraka reserve for cattle grazing on condition that the federation paid £6O a year, in return for which the area would he kept in good order for cricket and football matches. The executive of tho federation expressed its assurance that the Oneliunga Borough Council was in sympathy with the objects of the federation and would endeavour to introduce better playing conditions on the reserve.
The statement of accounts showed a credit balance of £23 6s 7d. There were no liabilities.
Correspondence from the Auckland Rugby Union, the Auckland Rugby League and the Oneliunga Cricket Association indicated that each body was prepared to contribute toward the cost of improving the playing surface of the reserve. The secretary was instructed to close with the council's offer, thereby terminating the leasing of tho reserve for grazing purposes.
The president, Mr. J. E. Green, intimated that the combined membership of the clubs affiliated to the federation was approximately 800. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. J. E. Green; secretary, Mr. A. E. Insley; treasurer, Mr. O. S. Harvey; auditor, Mr. J. D. Twentyman.
