TUNEFUL COMEDY
" A RUNAWAY GIRL" Full of sparkling humour and tuneful musical numbers, the colourful musical comedy success "A Runaway Girl" will he presented at His Majesty's Theatre by the Auckland Amateur Operatic Society, by special arrangement with J. C. Williamson, Limited, for a short, season commencing on Friday night. A splendid cast of local players has been assembled and final rehearsals point to the production being an outstanding one from every viewpoint. There will bo a full operatic chorus and a special orchestra conducted by Mr. Colin Muston. J he producer is Mr. F. H. Lampen. A feature of the production wil} be the elaborate ballet scenes which will be produced by Miss Cecil Ilall, with special ensembles by Beryl Nettlcton. The cast of over 100 includes Ernest Sncll, Rcta MacCullay, Sybil Philjipps, Douglas Stark, Freda Crosher, Bob Fenwick, Antonia Martinengo, Geoff Colledge, Inez Crompton, Ida Moore, Ethel Rae and Doreen Saunders.
