frHE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE QUIET SATURDAY CALL Business was quiet at the single call on the Auckland Stock Exchange on Saturday, turnover being restricted. The market for Government loans was fairly steady. Two parcels of 1949 4 per cent bonds changed hands at £IOB 10s, an unaltered rate, while a ?.i m of os was established by 1955 4 per /"bonds, which sold at £11 9 J 15s. business was done in or in--1 gurnnces. Buyers' offers were fairly steady, but concessions were made by holders of New South Wales and Reserve Banks. However, Nationals of Australasia and Unions were more firmly held. A rise of 6d occurred in the sale price of Neu- Zealand Breweries, which wore traded at 535. Subsequently offers fell 6d to 52s 6d. Otago Daily Times shares had sale at 48s, while transactions at ruling levels were made in the contributing issue of Auckland Gas and Wilsons Cements. -
