"BECKY SHARP"
ALL-COLOUR PICTURE Reuben Mamoulian will complete the direction of " Becky Sharp," the all-techni-colour picture starring Miriam Hopkins, which was begun by the late Lowell Sherman, who was taken from the " Becky Sharp " set to the Hollywood hospital where his lamented death occurred. Sherman had shot 1400 ft. of the picture, which is a pioneer production for RKO Radio release. Mamoulian is well known both in Hollywood and on Broadway as one of the leading directors of the day. After staging several plays for the New York Theatre Guild, he made his bow as a film director with " Applause," a picture made in the east and starring Helen Morgan. Among his Hollywood productions have been " Love Me To-Night," starring Maurice Chevalier and Jeanette McDonald; " Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," starhig Frederic March; "Song Marlene Dietrich; 0 J«2 een Cbmtina," starring Greta fclKvf-! 50 *.. latest Anna Sten picmSMm Live Again."
