UNCLEAN PIG PENS
CONDITIONS AT STATIONS FARMERS MAKE COMPLAINT [FROM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENT"! 5 HAMILTON", Friday A complaint that the pig pens at the Te Awamutu railway station were in a filthy condition was received from the Te Awamutu branch of the Farmers Union at a meeting of the Waikato executive of the union to-day. Mr. E. Wilson said that the complaint, made with respect to Te Awamutu applied equally to the pig Pf n . s at other railway stations m the WaikaMr "R. H. Feisst (Cambridge) said that in view of the growing importance of the pig industry, it was essential that farmers should have adequate ana wholesome facilities for handling pigs at the railway stations. It was resolved to forward the complaint to the chairman of the Railway Board and the district traffic manager.
