NEW PLUNKET ROOM

For some months past there has been an agitation from the country districts for (a more commodious rest room, consequent upon tho large number of visitors to Te Aroha, especially on Saturdav of each week.

Tho Borough Council was confronted by the fact tIW it could not yet formulate its new building proposals, but owing tq the incessant demand for more room, a decision was arrived at that the relief depot and meeting room should be transformed into a building for use as Plunket headquarters. The work has been put in hand, and will be ready shortly for tho purpose required. The main room will be furnished as a sitting and visiting room, and will be equipped with all modern conveniences. Tho whole of the present rest room will then bo available to country visitors, and, thereforo, fill a long felt want.
