LIGHT-WEIGHT TITLE VICTORY FOR CANZONERI (Received May 22, S.S pjn.) NEW YORK May 11 Tony Canzoneri, at the Madison ' Square Garden, to-night regained tho lightweight boxing championship through a clear-cut victory over Loti Ambers, in a bout of 15 rounds. Tho decision of the referee and two judges was unanimous that Canzoneri won on points. The weights of the contestants were 1331b. and 133flbi, respectively. Ambers was a three to one favourite on account of his youth and hitting ability, but Canzoneri out-boxed him throughout. The winner was on the verge of scoring a knock-out in the third round, when he twice had Ambers on the floor. _ 1 Canzoneri lost the championship in 1933., The ex-champion Barney Ross recently relinquished the title on aoeount of being over-weight.
