LAND VALUATIONS

ASSESSMENT AT KAIKOHE

[by telegraph—OWN correspondent] KAIKOHE. Friday

An Assessment Court presided over by Sir. G. N. Morris, S.M., with Messrs. J. W. Jones and It. B. Russell as assessors, sat at Kaikohe to-day to determine objections made to valuations on i;he farm land list of the town district. There were 1.3 objectors. Reductions were made in nine cases;, two valuation-, wef'e sustained, and two cases were withdrawn.

The magistrate complimented the assessors on the methods adopted in preparing tbe cases, which had resulted in a great, saving of time.
