BLASTING ACCIDENT
TAIHAPE RESIDENT BURNED [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] TAIHAPE. Friday Severe burns to the face, irms and legs were suffered by Mr. E. Quigley, of Tailiape, as the result of ft blasting accident which occurred late yesterday afternoon. Mr. Quigley was using blasting powder to remove a clay bank. He lit a fuse, which appeared to go out, and was about to apply another match, after waiting a short time, when a delayed explosion occurred.. Hb was admitted to the Taihape Hospital.
