BAYSWATER WOMEN
The annual meeting of the BayswaterBelmont Women's Society was held at the club house, Bayswater. The lion, secretary, Mrs. L. L. Rabbidge, read the report and the hon. treasurer, Mrs. W. G. Thomas, gave the statement of accounts. The officers elected were:— President, Mrs. R. T. Reid; vice-presi-dents, Mrs. A. Braund, Mrs. H. H, Bach and Mrs. Sellers; hon. secretary, Mrs. Rabbidge; hon. treasurer, Mrs. W G. Thomas; committee, Mesdames H. Whitehorn. B. Francis, Verran, W. M. White, M. Blampied, C. A. Fraser, Potter, Brady and Gyde. A special vote of thanks was given to Mrs. R. T. Reid and Mrs. H. Whitehorn, who very ably had organised the welfare branch for the district. Large quantities of clothing and food, etc., had been supplied to the needy. It was decided the ladies would continue to sew for tlie welfare branch, meeting regularly to keep up the supply of goods needed. A presentation to Mrs. Bach, retiring president, and also to Mrs. Rabbidge and Mrs. Thomas, was made on behalf of the society. A birthday cake to celebrate the society's 12th anniversary was given by Mrs. Thomas^
The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Verran, A. Gyde, B. Francis, and H. Bach. Among those present were: —Mesdames R. T. Reid. L. L. Rabbidge, W. G. Thomas, A. Braund. H. Bach, W. M. White, Holmes, M. Blampied, Eckett, Brady, P. M. Macky, Leadin, Letcher, B. Smith, Rambaud, Powell. H. Whitehorn. Potter, Sellers, A. Gyde, Verran, B. Francis and Miss. Langridge.
