CONFERENCE WITH OWNERS FURTHER MEETING OF MEN [by TELEGRAPH —own correspondent] WAIHI, Friday The conference between representatives of the mine owners and the Ohinemuri Mines and Batteries Union, which opened on Wednesday, was concluded to-day. It was held in camera. No agreement was reached, but it is understood that certain proposals made by the mine owners' representatives will be considered at a special meeting of the men's union on Sunday. The mine superintendent announced this afternoon that the company had decided to declare Monday a holiday in honour of the King's Jubilee and to make a payment to all the company's workers on a flat rate basis.
