— FALSE PROPAGANDA WARNING TO THE PUBLIC J (Received May 1, 8.5 p.m.) TOKIO, May 1 The spokesman for the Japanese Foreign Office stated to-day that the people of Japan are being gulled and misled by frequent, false propaganda in the guise of news from foreign news agencies, especially American, through the medium of the Japanese press. Against this propaganda the Foreign Minister, Mr. Hirota, will request the prefectural governors at a meeting on Friday to warn the public.
