EX-SOLDIERS' CLUB
THE PANMURE DISTRICT The third annual meeting of the Mount Wellington, Panmure and Pakuranga Ex-servicemen's Club was held at Panmure on Tuesday. There was a good attendance of members, the retiring president, Mr. H. J. ReSlv, presiding. The balance-sheet ancl annual report disclosed steady progress throughout the year, the club now having its own clubrooms. A hes,rty vote of thanks was accorded to the collectors and the residents of th<3 district for their help in, making this year's Poppy Day collection a dist.nct success, a total of £l4 10s Sd being collected. A vote of thanks was accorded the outgoing executive. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Air. C. Gatward; vice-presidents, Messrs. T. Sabine, H. Mclsaac; committee, Messrs. H. J. Reilly, H. Oxford. M. .Putchett, W. Scott, E. Hodgson, T. McCarthy and G, Hainsworth; trustees, Mr. P. May and Mr. F. Brown. The secretary, Sir. R. M. Johnson, and the hon. auditors, Mr. W. 0. Hall and Mr. J. A. Henderson, were re-elected.
