AIR MAIL SERVICE
ENGLAND TO AUSTRALIA BOLD DEVELOPMENT LINES. LONDON. April 2S The volume of correspoc dence being carried by the England-Australia air mail service ia most encouraging for the bold future developments! which are promised, says the Daily Telegraph. It is also evidence of what may Vo expected when the service is duplicated or larger machines are employed, j.nd the charges brought down.to something like the ordinary letter rate.
Imperial Airways, Ltd., already is experimenting with prototypes of the bigger and faster machines, but the acceleration of the service will also require more elaborate groimd organisation, to make night flying possible. Only by flying at night, as well as by day, can great reductions of time on the journey be attained.
