PROPOSALS AT HAMILTON ■/ PROCESSION AND SPORTS [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday Arrangements for the celebration of the King's Jubilee have been considered by the Hamilton Borough Council. A report from a special committee stated that the primary school authorities #pre not prepared to arrange a sports meeting on May 6. However, it had been suggested that there should be a procession to include senior scholars from the primary schools, representatives of the secondary schools, bands, territorial units and other organisations. The procession should proceed through Victoria ' Street to the Ferry Bank or Memorial Park, where addresses could be delivered and music played, the function to conclude about noon. The council decided that an en- * deavour should be made to give effect to this proposal, and it allocated £25 to cover the expenses. It also decided to grant £25 to the Hamilton Amateur Sports Club in bonnection with its King's Jubilee meeting at Steele Park. On the morning of May 10 tho school children will be entertained free of charge "at local picture theatres.
