ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
ANNUAL COMPETITIONS TEAMS FROM MANY CENTRES The annual competitions of the St. John Ambulance Brigade were held in the Domain on Saturday afternoon. Four contests were open to ambulance divisions and four to nursing divisions. The competing teams came from Dunedin, Wellington, Wanganui, Tauranga. Huntly, Frankton, Auckland and One-; hunga. The judges were Drs. E. D. Aubin, J. Reid, Garfield Stewart. S. de Clive Lowe, R. H. Walton, G. Montgomery, N. I. Houghton, and J. Kirkwood. Following were the results: — Gaze Cup.—National reserve No. 2 and Hillside railway, Dunedin, equal, 1; Onehunga No. '2, 3. Inter-colonial Cup.—Hillside railway, 1; National reserve No. 1, 2; Onehunga No. 2, 3.
Whangarei Efficiency Cup.—Glen Afton No. 2, 1; Onehunga No. 1 and Hillside railway,- equal, 2. Gracie Memorial Cup.—Frankton Junction No. 1, 1; Hillside railway, 2; Tauranga, 3. Auckland Cup.—Auckland nursing division, 1; National reserve and Dunedin Loco No. 1, equal, 2.
Horslev Cup.—Auckland nursing division No. 1, 1; National reserve. 2; Onehunga, 3. Nurse Sauriders-Jbnes Cup.—Onehunga nursing division. 1: National reserve No. 2, 2; Auckland, 3. Smith-llathaway Rose Bowl. —Epsom nursing division, 1; Tauranga No. 1, and Auckland, equal, 2.
The trophies were presented by the commissioner of the Auckland division, Mr. C. J. Tunks, at o, social function in the evening. Awards and warrants of office were presentnc'l to members of ambulance and nursing divisions.
