SCHOOL CLINICS' WORK HAMILTON DISTRICT SERVICE [from OUR OWN" correspondent] HAMILTON, Saturday Representatives of 11 schools were present at the annual meeting of the Hamilton Schools' Dental Clinic Committee. In his report the chairman, Mr. H. M. Baker, stated that, as a result of a reduction of the fee from 3s Gd to 2s 6d. the number of children had increased from 1039 to 1349. Fees totalled £l7l, compared with £lB2 in the previous year. Receipts increased by £5. It was noticeable that the number of claims for free treatment were half those made during the previous year.
The report of the Whitiora clinic stated that there were 7261 operations for the year ended March 31, and pupils from 17 schools received treatment. At the Hamilton East clinic 4529 operations were performed, 13 schools having benefited. The financial statement showed a debit of £ls on the .year's working. The following officers were ejected:— Chairman, Mr. H. M. Baker; secre-tary-treasurer, Mr. H. W. Fisher; executive, Messrs. D. C. Street, J. Graham, N. Holden, Baker and Fisher; auditor, Mr. P. Elliott.
