[by telegraph —OWN CORRESPONDENT] WHANGAREI Saturday The recently-form d North Auckland brunch of the New Zealand Pig Breeders' Association held it# tirst sale at Kensington Park 011 Thursday before a good attendance of buyers. A large entry camp forward. There were ovet 100 lots, comnosed chiefly of Tamworths. while Berkshires, Large Whites. Duroc Jerseya and Large. Blacks were well represented. The auctioneers were the North Auckland Farmers' Cooperative, Limited. Dalgety and Company, Limited, W. Wakeliu. and A. Buckland and Sons, Limited. Competition _ was keen for practically all classes, especially Tamworths. Large Whites were hard to quit Quotations were as followsTamworth boars, 3gns to BJgns sows. 2}gns to 'JJgns; Berkshire boars, to 4Jgns; sows, lgti to 4Jgns; Duroc Jeißcy sows. 2Jgns to Signs- Large Black sqws, ljgns to 2Jgns; White boars, lgn to 32gns; Large White sows, 15s 9d to Sgiii.
