BIRTH OF TRIPLETS
OCCURRENCE IN A TRAIN INFANTS FAIL TO SURVIVE (Received April 14. (5.35 p.m.) LONDON, April 13 While the famous express train, the Flying Scotsman, was en route from London to Edinburgh, it was delayed three-quarters of an hour at Alnmouth owing to Mrs. Sarah Monaghan, of Bathgate, giving birth to triplets in her compartment. The woman was attended by two medical students, who happened to bo on the train, while a doctor and an ambulance were hurriedly summoned. The woman was then rushed to tiie Alnmouth infirmary, four miles away. The triplets did not survive, but tho mother is stated to bo progressing favourably.
