SOCIAL CLUB DANCE
A dance was held in the Fergusson Hall, Merrilands, last week by the Fergusson Social Club. The deputy-Mayor of Onehunga, Mr. Stephen Vella, performed the opening ceremony and thanked the ladies for the work they had begun in the district of Merrilands. The president of the club, Mrs. Henshaw, wore a frock of powder blue sand crepe with blush-rose velvet coatee. The ladies of the committee present were: Mrs. Patterson, Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Potter, and Mrs. E. Caudwell. Also present were: Mrs. C. Roberts, Mrs. G. Clarkson, Mrs. McNeil, Mrs. Gilchrist, Mrs. G. Armstrong, Mrs. Brunt, Mrs. Banks. Mrs. R. Ginb, Mrs. T. Gibb, Mrs. 'lhompson, Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Herrin, Mrs. Dingle, Mrs. Brett, Mrs. Ford, Mrs. Watt, Mrs. Heron, Mrs. Noble, Mrs. Kelway, Mrs. Pawley, Mrs. Knipe, Mrs. Sutherland, Miss Hiscock, Miss W. Craig, Miss Craig, Miss M. Clark, Miss 0. Thompson, Miss G. Clarkson, Miss Annette Curry, Miss R. Ronaldson, Miss E. Brunt, Miss C. Olive, Miss ,T. Gilchrist, Miss L. Gilchrist, Miss U. Cleary, Miss S. Thompson and Miss Gibb.
