BRITISH AGRICULTURE
ORGANISATION URGED LLOYD GEORGE'S SCHEME LONDON, April 11 Mr. Lloyd George, in an article in the Farmer's Weekly, says he believes that if British agriculture is properly organised, and if it concentrates upon the production of goods for which it is specially fitted, it can hold its own at least as well as the Danish farmers. He is not an enthusiastic protectionist, but while Britain's policy is protection it should employ straightforward tariffs rather than a muddle of quotas. Empire producers should receive a, worth-while preference according to their treatment of Britain. The dumping of produce should be stopped whether Britain is protectionist or free trade.
