SELECTORS FOR SEASON JACK HOBBS HONOURED (Received April 12. 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. April 11 Tibe Board of Cricket Control has appointed Mr. P. J. Warner (chairman), and Messrs. P. A. Perrin (Essex) and T. A. Higson (Derbyshire) selectors against the South African cricketers, and until the end of the 1936 season. The Surrey Club has made Jack Hobbs a life member. He is the first professional to be so honoured. The only other life members are the Prince of Wales, the Duke of York and Mr. It. C. N. Palairet (Somerset). - - * GAME IN INDIA PROPOSAL FOR A TOUR (Received April 12, 7.5 p.m.) DELHI. April 12 The Indian Cricket Control Board has invited,the West Indi.es to send a team to tour India in the winter of 1937-38.
