UNUSUAL DOCUMENT BIG ESTATE DIVIDED SOME BENEFICIARIES DEAD ENGLISH PEER'S SHARE By Telegraph—Press Association^—Copyright (Received April 12, 7.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, At>ril 11 A message from Worcester, Massachusetts, states that one of the longest and strangest wills ever recorded in that State was filed today. It was a 110-page document disposing of the 1,750,000 dollars estate of the late Mr. Albert Whitin, whose family founded Whitinsville and owns manufactories there. Mr. Whitin was a bachelor. He went to Paris in 1914 for a brief visit, but never returned, dying there last month. The will distributes the estate among scores of persons, some of whom were not known personally to Mr. Whitin. Tho beneficiaries range from Lord Howard, formerly Ambassador from Britain to tho United States, to a gardener at the Whitin home. Many of the beneficiaries named in the will are dead. Lord Howard receives 10,000 dollars and his fivo children 25,000 altogether. An impoverished English poet receives 5000 dollars and 10,000 dollars were bequeathed to Mr. Whitin's nurse who died three years ago, aged 103. The largest bequest is to a niece, namely 400,000 dollars with an additional 250,000 if she returns to live in Mr. Whitin's old homo in Massachusetts.
