MOUNT ALBERT SHOW I.ARGE* ENTRIES RECEIVED SUCCESSFUL EXHIBITORS Outstanding success attended tho ".first dahlia show conducted by the -Mount Albert Horticultural and Beautifying Society, which was opened in the King George Hall, Mount Albert, yesterday j The entries, which totalled 357, were highly satisfactory considering the fact that there were only about 50 more entries for the. show held recently by the Auckland Horticultural Society. This is the second. flower show held by thij newly-formed society. Entries were received from as far afiald as Tauranga, Helensville and Thames. In declaring the show open, Mr. T. Garland congratulated the socitty on the magnificent " display of blcoms. The accommodation, was, so ta:ced that it was found necessary- to nuke use of the stage and the supper room. The show will be continued to-day, and the prizes will he presented in tho evening. Awards are: — CHAMPIONSHIPS Champion of Champions, Spiith and . Caitghey's Trophy,—E.
