USE IN ROYAL AIR FORCE SATISFACTORY RESULTS (.Received March 21, 6.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, March 20 In view of the Government's policy of assisting in the production of petrol from coal interest is attached to a statement made by the Under-Secretary for Air, Sir Philip Sassoon, in the House of Commons to-day. He stated that nine squadrons of the Royal Air Force are now flying entirely and with satisfactory results on spirit derived by low temperature carbonisation of British coal. Sir Philip also referred to the progress being made with British compression ignition engines.
