SUSPENSION OF RESEARCH For the present, the large amount of field work undertaken by the staff of the New Zealand Fresh Water Research Committee is to be suspended, and the energies of the staff will be directed to the recording of data so far obtained, and iis eventual publication. The resolution to adopt this course was made by the committee at its meeting in Christchurch the other day when members discussed the possibility of financial support from acclimatisation societies dwindling to a point where the committee would not be able to carry on.
