NEW AEROPLANES
EIGHT FOR- AUSTRALIA LONDON. March 5 For New England Airways two fourseater Monospars will be sent to Australia on March 15 and another later in March. Five 12-seaters which will be shipped in August and October, will be fitted with American Pratt and Whitney Wasp engines.
The two four-passenger Monospars now being shipped will probably be used to start the proposed service between Brisbane and Townsville. They have a cruising speed of 144 miles an hour. The third aeroplane of this type may be used to " test out " the service the company proposes to start between Sydney and Melbourne. The larger 10-pas-senger or 12-passenger Monospar airliners, which are said to have a top speed of 210 miles an hour, and to cruise at 180 mdes an hour, will be used eventually on a Sydney-Mel-bourne-Adelaide air line. \
