UNIVERSITY FEDERATION
AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION The annual meeting of the Auckland Association of tho New Zealand Federation of University Women was held in tho University College last evening. Tho president, Mrs. W. H. Cocker, presided over a large alttendanco of members. It was stated in the report that financial membors numbered 134, of which 10 were associate members. There had been an increase of 34 members, and the average attendance for the year was about 40. A discussion circle had been formed among the younger members of the association and undergraduates of Auckland University College. It was felt that this was a valuable bond between graduates and under-graduates. . The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of about £l9, and the fellowship fund a credit balance of £lB3. ft was agreed to transfer £ls from the general fund to tho fellowship fund. The president referred to a recommendation from tho executive that £lO should bo set aside for the purpose of helping needv students at Auckland University College. It was decided to set up a sub-committeo to administer tho money as it was considered best. The committee would bo asked to report to the executive. » The election of' officers resulted as follows: President, Mrs. W. H. Cocker; vice-presidents, Miss Mona Hay and Dr. A. A. Warnock; secretary, Mrs. A. K. Turner; treasurer, Miss A- C. Morrison; committee, Dr. Houghton; Mrs. Eric Macdonald, Miss Barbara Robertson; delegates to National Coiuicil of Women, Mrs. W. H. Cocker and Dr. Houghton- representative on Committee of Intellectual Co-operation, Miss C. Grey; hospitality committee, Dr. do Courcy, Mrs. A. E. Mulgan, Mrs. N. A. Campbell and Dr. Gladys Rowley.
