BYRD ANTARCTIC SHIPS

HOMEWARD VOYAGE BEGUN [BT TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIX, Wednesday The Byrd Antarctic Expedition ships Jacob Ruppert and Bear of Oakland have sailed for Panama, via Easter Island, where they have a rendezvous. They were given a rousing send-off. Rear-Admiral Byrd and Mrs. Byrd left by train for Wellington. They have not yet decided when they will leave the Dominion for Rear-Admiral Byrd to rejoin the ships at Panama, where tho ships will join company for the final stage of the trip to New York.
