Wednesday Entries generally were larger at today's Addington market and in most sections there was a slight easing. Store Litmus.—There was a heavy penning of about 15,000, principally backward jambs from stations Recent values wero about maintained. Rape, from 13s to 15s 7d; ordinary wether, 9a to 12s; ordinary ewe, los to IGa 3d. Store Ewes.—Another heavy entry included Chatham Islands and Nelson sheep. Good ewes maintained recent rates, but ordinary and inferior were easier. Extra good Romney two-tooths made to 31s 3d; best halfbred, to 28s Gd; extra good sound mouth, 21s to 22s 3d; good sound mouth, 17s to 17a 3d; medium, 15s Gd to IGa 3d; inferior, lis to 12s fid. Fat Lambs.—There was a smaller entry of 2500. A weaker sale resulted, schedule rates not being maintained for lighter sorts. Best, to 29s Id: prime heavy, 22s 6d to 255; others, 18s to 225.

Fat Sheep.—A total of 4250 was penned. The sale dragged, wethers being down by Is ft head and ewes by Is to Is Gd. Best wethers, 25s to 27b Id; prime, 22s to 24a; medium, 19s to £1 Gs; light, 14s to 17s Gd: best ewes, to 23« Id; prime, 19b to 21s: prime medium weights, 15s to 18s Gd: others, 9s to 14s Gd. Fat Cattle.—The offering comprised 485 and there was an average drop in values of 10s a head. Extra good steer beef made to 2Gs per 1001b.; good, 22s to 245; heavy, 19s to 21s Id; secondary, 16s to 18s; extra prime heavy steers, to ill 12g Gd; prime heavy, £9 to £lO sb; medium-weight prime. £8 us to £9 10s; ordinary, £4 5s to £7 ss; extra prime heifers, to £8 12s Gd; prime, £5 to £6 30s; medium. £3 10s to £4 15s: light. £3; extra prime cows, to £7 12s Gd: prime, £4 10s to £6 ss; ordinary, £2 15s to £4 ss; light and aged cows, 30s to £2 10s. Fat Pigs.—There was a good entry in the fat pig section. Baconers were firm at late rates, but porkers were slightly easier. Choppers, £2 to £4 18s Gd; baconers, 47r Gd to 54s 6d; heavy baconers, 57s Gd to £3 6s Gd; extra heavy baconers, £3 8« Gd to £3 12s 6d. The average price per lb. was s}d to fid. Porkers, 30s to 34s 6d: heavy porkers, 36s 6d to 43s Gd. The average price per lb. was 6d to 6Jd.
