MILK VENDORS FINED

A milkman, J. E. Shine (Mr. Dickson) was charged in the Police Court yesterday, before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., with storing overnight milk intended for morning delivery in a place which did not conform with the regulations. A plea of guilty was entered. Appearing for tho Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council, Mr. Drummond said the milk was received by defendant from his supplier at 7.30 p.m., and until the morning delivery at 4.40 the cans containing tho milk stood in what was no more than the back yard of his shop. Tho magistrate imposed a fine of £1 and costs. A fine of 10s and costs was Imposed on another vendor, J. Vogwill, who pleaded guilty to a charge of dolivoring retail milk later than 8.30 a.m.. thereby infringing tho regulations.
