Sir, —Surely we should not despair. There is consolation that if Great Britain allows unrestricted importation of meat, their own farmers would be ruined, and it is hardly likely this would be allowed. Ous safety lies in the fact that the Home farmer must be protected. J. E. Lobi.kv.
