SCHEME FOR NEW SUPPLY Copies ol : correspondence between the Manurewa Ratepayers' Association and the Minister of Health, Sir Alexander Young, regarding the association s objections to raising a loan ior a town water supply without taking a poll oi ratepayers, were received from the Minister at a meeting of the Manurewa Town Board last evening, in his reply to the association, the Minister sau he was not concerned in any local difference of opinion regarding civic administration, but it liad to be recognised that the board had a responsibility to the local community to see that an adequate water supply was available! . The correspondence was received and 't was pointed out that the loan scheme would be submitted to a ratepayers poll if the Local Government Loans board sanctioned the proposal.
