Research since its inception, has rev signed, and Professor W. Riddet, of Massey Agricultural College, has been, appointed by the Government to fill his place on' the council. Dr. H. G. Denham, professor o? chemistry at Canterbury University College, has been appointed to succeed Mr. Shirtcliffe as chairman of the council.
