NEW POLICE OFFICER

It was announced yesterday that SubInspector J. Fox, of Christchurch, whose promotion from tho rank of senior-sergeant had previously been reported, is to be transferred shortly to Auckland. He -will replace Inspector G. B. Edwards, now in Wellington. Mr. Fox has served in tho police foreo for 29 years, and at various times hasbeen stationed in Otago, Auckland, Westland, Southland arid Canterbury.
