NORTH AUCKLAND PLAYERS [fbom OUB OWN correspondent] HAMILTON, Wednesday An enjoyable time is being spent by the party of North Auckland bowlers at present visiting the Waikato. The weather has been fine, and as games are played on different greens twice a day a good deal of 1 country is being covered. A full programme of entertainments is provided each evening. Visits were paid to Huntly, Claudelands and Te Awarautu yesterday, and this morning games were played at Frankton and Whitiora. The visitors were entertained at an At Home on the Hamilton Club's green this afternoon, when the South Auckland bowlers who visited North Auckland last year were pitted against them. Matches/ played this morning between the visitors nnd members of the Whitiora, Frankton, and Frankton Railway Clubs resulted ns follows, the visiting skips being mentioned first:—Hogg, 25, v. Watts (Frank'ton), 14; Journeaux, 13, v. Wheeler (Frankton), 21; Cutforth, 18, v. Hamilton (Railway), 20; Wilson, 19, v. Fiddea (Railway), 19; Steadman, 16, v. Andrews (Whitiora), 19; Coote, 17, v. Evans (Whitiora), 21; Staples, 18, v. Taylor (Whitiora), 23; Courtney, 19, v. Burrow (Whitiora), 28; West, 21, v. Choat (Whitiora), 27. VETERANS* REUNION TO-DAY The annual tournament and reunion of the Auckland Veterans' Bowline Association will be held on the Auckland Club's greens to-day. Games will be played both morning and afternoon and the business meeting will be held in the pavilion during the luncheon adjournment.
