Prince of Orange and Bells of Shandon were successful in 1930; High Comedy and Speedmint in 1931: High Comedy in 1932; Gay Shiela in 1933; Gay Blonde in 1934; and Gay Blonde twice, and Gay Sbeik this year. These make a total of 10 wins in six years. In the same period A. Cook, of Te Awamutu. has a tally of 12 wins, including three ' dead-heats, but hj? failed to produce a winner this year Leitrim, Tenakoe and To Hoia id«iad-heut) scored in 1930; Pegaway and Leitrim in 1931; Sea Ruler, Leitrim and Soloist in 1932: King's Knave in 1933; and Impasto (one win and one dead-heat) and Knight of Australia (dead-heat) in 1934. In 1933, when trained by J, W. Anderton. Knight of Australia won the President's Handicap, and last year, when trained by Cook he dead-heated with King March, while this year he was only narrowly defeated by Gay Blonde.
