ORDERED TO RETURN
RESTITUTION OF RIGHTS COURT GRANTS PETITIONS Several orders for the return of wives or husbands to their homes, within stated periods were made by Mr. Justice Herdman in the Supreme Court yesterday. . _ _ In the case of Annie Doris Poad (Mr. Skelton), who sought a restitution order against Donald Guy Poad, the marriage took place in January, 1916. and there are six children. The petitioner said that when her husband was in business in Otorohanga in 1933 she had to come to Auckland to nurse her mother. Later her husband refused to send her money to return home and ignored her letters. He sold his business, and she traced him to Frankton. He did not welcome her when she went to him there in March last and refused to let her return. She had since had to work. The respondent was ordered to return to petitioner within 21 days. Orders for the respondent to return to petitioner within a period of 14 days were made in the following cases: —Jonathan Christie Cullen (Mr. Rudd), against Alico Rowcna Cullen; Ernest Forbes Shirley (Mr. Boyes), against Olive L. Shirley; Mervyn Alfred Prior Williams (Mr. Quartley), against Lilian Ruby Williams; Ethel Minnie Cargill (Mr.. C. Stevens), against Thomas Edward Cargill; Daniel Price Davies (Mr. Sullivan), against Elaine Alberta Davies. The period was fixed at 21 days in the case of Wilfred Charles Marchant (Mr. C. Stevens), against Alma Amy Marchant.
