ACTIVITIES IN HAMILTON [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Wednesday The annual meeting of the Waikato Winter Show Philharmonic Society was held last night, Mrs. H. C. Ross presiding. The annual report, showed that the roll number had been well maintained, the membership at the close of the season being 41. The choir had been instrumental in raising funds for the Children's Camp League, the Waikato Returned Soldiers' Association and other bodies Mrs. H. C. Ross stated that, owing to pressure of other duties, she was unable to continue as conductor. The following officers were elected: — President, Mr. W. H. Paul;' vice-presi-dents, Messrs. W. Westwater, E. G. Amoore and H. Beebe; conductor, Mr. S. R. James; secretary, Miss J. Gardner; treasurer, Mr. H. Dearnley; pianist, Miss M. Salter; librarian, Miss L. Lopdell; committee, Mesdames M. Aitken, W. Bonner and V. Church, Miss L. Lopdell, Messrs. W. A. Wallace, G. A. Wheeler, E. Ellis and H. Dearnley.
