"NEW DEAL M CAMPAIGN AN EXTENSIVE PROGRAMME (■Received February 26, 5.5 p.m.) " British Wireless RUGBY, Feb. 25 Mr. Lloyd George, in the second big speech of his " new deal " campaign, advocated extensive developments in railway electrification and reorganisation, housing and road construction, improvements in rural Wales, the reconditioning of derelict' land, modernisation of farm buildings and the training of people in scientific methods of cultivation. The strenuous pursuit of these methods, he maintained, would drastically alter the unemployment problem.
