SOUP ON FRANCONIA

After tasting tohcroa soup for the first time, Miss Esther Boyer, social directress on the Franconia, was so delighted with the flavour that she ordered a case to be sent on board for her own use when she reaches the United States. She also arranged for the chief steward, Mr. J. Cheshire, to sample the New Zealand soup with a view to including it on the Franconia's menu.
