Sir,—ln reply to "Three Stockmen" t, n the above matter, steers are not usually yoked up and then flogged for not pulling, but are taught gradually what is expected of them. Flogging a beast and riding one both infuriate ' and terrify the animal, and are against the'law. Surely it is poor sport to treat any animal in this manner, and no decent man will stand for it.
