ELECTRIC-POWER BOARDS
PROPOSED, SECRETARIAT SUPPORT FROM FRANKLIN [from our own correspondent"! PUKEKOHE, Tuesday The proposal to establish a permanent secretariat for the Electrical Supply Authorities' Association was supported by the Franklin Electric-Power Board at its meeting to-day.
The chairman, Mr. J. Dean, said the secretariat would help to co-ordi-nate the work „of the different bodies by collecting a great deal of information, which would bo of mutual benefit. The £35 the Franklin board would have to contribute would bo money well spent. The beard was at present contributing £l7 as a half-fee to the existing association and there was always the possibility that this would be doubled. Other members expressed dissatisfaction with the- results obtained so far from the powpjr boards' conferences and spoke favouring the proposal. The motion to support the scheme was carried unanimously.
