WAIKATO REGIMENT

CAMP AT * HOPUHOPU f FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] \ HAMILTON, Monday Over 220 officers and inen of the Ist Battalion of the Waikato Regiment are in 'Camp at Hopuhopu, under the command [of Lieutenant-Colonel R. Closey. Consolidated training will be carried out during the week, with extra ceremonial drill and parades in preparation for the ceremony to be staged at Hamilton next Friday, when the regimental Colours will be returned. On Thursday a field day will be held, when defence movements will be supported by an aeroplane from Hobsonville. On the same dpy the battalion will be inspected by Major-General Sir William Sinclair-Burgess, general officer commanding the New Zealand Military Forces, and Colonel J. E. Duigan, officer commanding the Northern Command.
