WEDDING

BEAN—MAKING On January 11, in Colombo, Ceylon, the wedding was celebrated of Miss Gendie Maling, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Maling, Durham Street North, Christchurch, and Mr. R. J. S. Bean, only son of Canon and Mrs. W. S. Bean, Beverley Street, Christchurch. Cable messages announcing the wedding were received in Christchurch on Saturday morning. Miss Maling, in company with Mrs. R. C. Fowler and the Misses Fowler, arrived in Colombo from Christchurch on Friday morning. Mr. Bean left the Dominion some months ago for Ceylon.
