MOTOR-TRUCK BURNED

VEHICLE LEFT BY ROADSIDE [from our own correspondent] TUAKAU, Wednesday A large motor-truck, owned by Messrs. Thomas Brothers, of Pukekawa, was extensively damaged last evening by a fire which broke out some time after the driver, Mr. A. Thomas, had left the truck by the roadside. The truck was unladen except for a sledge which was salvaged by a passing motorist, Mr. G. Footo, who was first to discover the fire. Mr. Foote reached the truck at about 10 o'clock, and Mr. Thomas, attraced by the blaze, returned soon after, but without equipment the two men could only watch tie truck burn. The vehicle was insured.
